here is still one problem: AS I SAW TODAY ANY MEMBER CAN EDIT HIS POST AFTER 2-3DAYS!! THIS SHOULD BE BLOCKED..
i.e. THE OPTION OF SELF-EDITING MUST BE BLOCKED AFTER 15mins., SO THAT MEMBER CAN'T EDIT ITS POST FURTHER. IF THEY WANT TO EDIT THEN THEY SHOULD CONTACT ADMINS/MODS.

HOPE U CAN UNDERSTAND ITS IMPORTANCE. ANY RAFIDA CAN SAY ANYTHING THEN EDIT IT AFTER 2-3DAYS!!!

i agreed with farhan but with some alterations....the edit option should be disable after Ist reply to the post......and also if any member want to edit after the  first reply he should ask permission from mod and the editable post should not be removed......

Brother mohammadfarhan the suggestion sounds nice but if we disable this option, then the members of entire user group for eg. as Junior Member etc will have to face this restriction. Whereas, the alternate suggestion as given by brother junoon26 seems favorite and can be implemented in just few clicks.
Please take the consent/mashwara of other Admins/Mods/Senior Members also, so we can enforce this rule.

Brothers, the only option available to prevent editing the posts is Edit time restriction (in minutes)? which means it denies the user to edit his/her post after _____ time set has passed.

I was unable to find either any such Mod for IPB v3.1.4 that can restrict a user to edit his/her post after the first reply. So, currently we are left with this option only i.e. in terms of minutes.

Now we have two questions here:

1. How much minutes you all suggest, we should put in this setting to activate? Is 20 minutes OK?
2. For which all user groups these settings be activated for? we have Validating, Junior Member and Senior Member. (of course Admins/Mods will be exempted)

Akhi I think 15 minutes is enough. For all including senior members.
Also akhi do we still have email conformation after registration? Because I seen some clones with advertisement in last few days.

Brother the time restriction settings for editing the post have been applied and activated as under:
Validating = Cannot edit own posts
Junior Member = Cannot edit their post after 20 minutes
Senior Member = Cannot edit their post after 20 minutes
5 minutes have been given more keeping in view the benefit of doubt

Regarding the confirmation Email, yes one has to validate via his/her Email confirmation link in order to post on the forum. Its upto the Admins/Mods, to delete/warn/ban such members who violate the forum rules.

Yes, the Recent Posts system has malfunctioned currently. It was showing up the topic/post title of Admins & Mods forum to the non-Admins and non-Mods (only the title, else others can't browse that area), working on it to resolve. Need your duas since its very tricky.
